Although some companies state that this on the market, its not. There is no such thing as real bidegradable cello to date.
OPP ( which all sheets and film rolls are made of RECYCLABLE - subject to local recyclaing) OPP has the lowest impact of film to produce and therefore has a very low negative impact on the environment.
The goverment has not yet regulated the word ' Biodegradable' even a car is but will take thousands of years to do so. This is how companies are selling materials as something they are not!
If you had a real degradable film it would be plant based and therfore very soft, floppy and very white in apperance . Its not stiff and has a clear presantation like OPP. Any films that are not like this are not bio films and probably have some unorthodox recycled material in them that is not regulated.
So, if your customers REALLY want to be kind to the enviroment, use the OPP films and recycle and NEVER litter. Alternatively use paper, our Kraft rolls are biodegradable and compostable.
However, paper really has a high impact on the enviroment when producing! so although it composts well we have really polluted the environment making it.
In conclusion, all packaging has a pupose and a function. Use it wisely and dispose of it responsibly and complain to get local recycle plants really working correctly ( most just goes into normanl landfil sadly!!)
